For three decades, the Goodwood Festival of Speed has captivated motorsport enthusiasts and families alike, bringing together a unique blend of adrenaline-pumping action, iconic automobiles, and an unforgettable atmosphere. The 30th anniversary event takes place this year from 13th – 16th July and once again our short stay holiday lets are fully booked. This year we have visitors from Germany and Romania coming to enjoy the fun.
One of the festival’s greatest strengths is its accessibility, making it an ideal outing for families. Unlike traditional motorsport events, where spectators are confined to the sidelines, the Goodwood Festival of Speed offers a unique opportunity for visitors to engage directly with the action. Whether it’s watching a historic vehicle power up the famous hill climb or witnessing a modern marvel thunder past, the event allows fans to get up close and personal with the very best of motoring history.
The Festival of Speed is not just about cars—it’s an immersive experience that caters to the entire family. In addition to the heart-pounding racing action, the event offers a range of family-friendly activities and entertainment options. From children’s play areas and fairground rides to interactive exhibits and engaging workshops, there’s something for everyone. Kids can unleash their inner racing driver in the Junior Festival of Speed, pedal go-karts, or enjoy the exhilarating rides. The festival also offers live music, art installations and a wide range of food options, ensuring that there’s never a dull moment.
Porsche are headline sponsor this year as they too are celebrating an anniversary – 75 years since they launched their first sports car!
If you want to come next year and need somewhere to stay – our holiday homes are a 25-30 minute drive from Goodwood and offer a cost effective self catering solution to a family group or group of friends. Don’t leave it to late to book though – we usually get booked up the minute Goodwood release their dates for both the Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival in the Autumn!
