After quite a bit of deliberation we have decided to go all out dog friendly here at Driftwood Stays! So… from today, you can bring your four-legged family members with you to stay in BOTH Driftwood Haven and Driftwood Corner holiday homes.
We have been thinking about this move for a while now and as dog owners ourselves, we always felt a bit sad not allowing dogs in Driftwood Haven. The reason for that choice was that when we started up the business, we were advised not to by several letting agents who were worried about our pale coloured carpet. But we have had wonderful dog owners stay with us in Driftwood Corner without issue and there is plenty of room in Driftwood Haven to dry off wet dogs before they go in the lounge – the kitchen and utility room being ideal spaces that can be closed off from the rest of the house.
East Preston is such a fantastic place for dogs to come for their holidays we have decided to give it a go in 2023. With the beach being year round dog friendly, not to mention nearly all the cafes and pubs in the area, your furry friends can enjoy their holiday as much as you!
And if you want a change from the beach you have Angmering Park five minutes away in the car with its extensive woodland walks, or a little bit further and you are into the South Downs National Park where you can walk part of the South Downs way or plan a circular walk to a country pub etc etc. We are so spoilt for choice here, we are not sure who will enjoy their holiday more – the dogs or the humans!
