Most frequent questions and answers
Driftwood Corner has a maximum occupancy of 8 guests. This includes children and babies.
Little Driftwood has a maximum occupancy of 2 guests and is best suited to couples or a single guest on their own.
Any reasonable requests for day visitors will need to be agreed in writing in advance.
- Check dates and availability for your chosen holiday cottage.
- Follow the on screen instructions to fill out the booking form and tell us about you and your travelling party.
- Complete the booking with our secure checkout process.
- Whilst you will find the properties on the big booking platforms like Airbnb and VRBO you will ALWAYS get the best price on our own website as there are no commission fees to pay.
- Little Driftwood can only be booked via email at the moment until we have set it up on our booking software.
A 25% deposit is required to secure your stay and the balance due no later than 6 weeks before arrival. Should you book within 6 weeks of your arrival date then the full balance is due upon booking.
We take an additional £250 for Driftwood Corner and £100 for Little Driftwood with your balance payment as a “refundable breakage deposit”. This will be returned to you within a week of your departure date assuming there have been no issues.
Check in is from 4.oopm on the day of arrival and Check out is before 10.00am on the day of departure. Please respect these times so we can prepare the houses to the standard we want them to be for your holiday.
Both our holiday cottages are dog friendly and we allow up to 2 in Driftwood Corner and 1 in Little Driftwood. There is no extra charge, but please mention it on your booking form so we can prepare the house appropriately.
Driftwood Corner has a travel cot (supply your own bedding) and a high chair. There is also a fire guard for the log burner. Little Driftwood is not suitable for children or babies.
We now have Fibre Broadband and it’s pretty quick! With download speeds of up to 300MB. TV streaming such as Netflix and Amazon work really well and Zoom meetings have a great connection. Mobile phone signal is poor in the whole of the local area so wifi calling is best.
Working from home is possible in both properties. In Driftwood Corner there is a desk and chair in the master bedroom. In Little Driftwood there is a separate office upstairs with desk and chair making this little house a great option for longer workation type stays. We have just installed fibre broadband so zoom meetings are easy now with speeds up to 300MB. Mobile signal is patchy at best, so we recommend using wifi calling.
The houses have well equipped kitchens with everything you need to make home-cooked meals. Tea towels and oven gloves are supplied. We also supply washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, cloths and a scourer.
All bed linen and towels are provided, together with soaps and shampoo and a couple of toilet rolls in each bathroom.
N.B. Please do not take our towels to the beach. You will need to bring your own for this thank you.
Both Driftwood Corner and Little Driftwood have two private parking spaces each. If you require any more, there is free parking in the village close by. Please do not park on the private estate roads or you may end up with a parking ticket!
Both our houses are non-smoking. Please respect this so all our guests can enjoy a smoke free environment. This is also for fire safety reasons.
Driftwood Corner has an electric vehicle (EV) charging point for our guests use, by request. For guests staying in Little Driftwood we can offer access to one on our home driveway close by.
