Spring is one of our favourite times of the year. In fact maybe … just maybe … our favourite!!
Three good reasons to come and stay at Driftwood Haven or Driftwood Corner in East Preston in the Spring:-
- The weather starts to warm up significantly and in fact, the last two years have been amazing in March and April, with many of our guests already enjoying BBQs outside at lunchtime!
- The beach is relatively quiet! I mean it’s not like it’s exactly heaving in the summer of course! Far, far quieter than neighbouring Worthing or Littlehampton. BUT, if you compare East Preston beach with itself, from spring to summer, you can pretty much guarantee you’ll have your own little private beach spot, particularly if it’s midweek and the kids are at school! Absolute bliss! The days start to get longer and taking a bottle of wine and some fish and chips to the beach to watch the sunset becomes a reality once again in Spring! If long walks down the beach is your thing, to the cafes scattered along the way in both directions, you will likely only see a few locals out walking their dogs.
- Depending on the weather the bluebells start to flower at the end of March and a trip to Angmering Park, just a short drive away is an absolute must. There are numerous pubs around too for family Sunday lunch, after the kids are done burning off their energy in the purple woods! The Gun in Findon won pub of the year 2022 – just be sure to book!
